It’s a new age where we can watch all of our entertainment online. Some people may go as far as saying that that is the way it is supposed to be. What we don’t see though, is the transformation that brought us to our current position. The online video sector is still stabilizing; web coders/ developers still have not found the perfect formula for the advertisement/ video ratio. Many websites under estimate the amount of advertising needed to pay for the bandwidth. For example, a website that recently went down: Vreel – was a very popular user submitted content site, but was not able to keep up with the bandwidth costs.
Here at SetVid we know this first hand. We ran a hosting website for almost a year before we started seeing too much red in our budget reports.
There can be many reasons that this happens. Most evident reason is that people complain about the advertisements and end up blocking them; most people don’t realize that this is what keeps that site running.
So click on some ads on the sites that you think you might want to see and send an email of support to the admin of the sites.
